Division of Biological Response Analysis

  • Analysis of pathogenicity of zoonotic pathogens
  • Analysis of innate immune host responses resulting from infection and vaccination with pathogens
  • Analysis of acquired immune host response by infection and vaccination with pathogens

Research Content

In addition to establishing a clinical specimen collection system from Hokkaido University Hospital and affiliated hospitals, experts in innate and acquired immunity will target clinical specimens collected from animal models or clinical sites to evaluate immune responses after infection or vaccination in humans. We aim to develop efficient vaccines through comprehensive understanding of immune responses based on the data obtained by analyzing using a comprehensive analysis platform for the immune system of infectious diseases and mice. In addition, we will search for severe markers at the time of onset and use them to determine the effectiveness of vaccines in cooperation with Hokkaido University Hospital and related hospitals.
