The Institute for Vaccine Research and Development (IVReD), Hokkaido University, hosted its 4th Special Lecture on September 30, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Lecture Hall of the Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine.
We were honored to welcome Dr. Florian Krammer, Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Director of the Ignaz Semmelweis Institute, as the invited speaker. He delivered a lecture titled “Antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2 vaccination and infection.” Approximately 50 participants attended the event.
Dr. Krammer presented the latest findings on antibody responses induced by COVID-19 vaccination and infection, their durability, and implications for future vaccine development. His clear explanations provided valuable insights into ongoing challenges and prospects in vaccinology.
The lecture attracted researchers and students from both within and outside Hokkaido University, and the lively Q&A session that followed further enriched the discussion. The event proved to be a highly stimulating opportunity to learn from the forefront of vaccine research.
