Mr. Yasuyoshi Kakita, then Director-General of the Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy, Cabinet Office, visited IVReD on Friday, July 11, 2025.

First, Professor Hirofumi Sawa, Director of the IVReD, introduced the IVReD and its initiatives. This was followed by Professor Katsumi Maenaka, concurrent faculty member of the IVReD and professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, who gave an explanation of the cryo-electron microscope, deepening understanding of this cutting-edge research equipment.

Afterwards, they visited the cryo-electron microscope facility at the Drug Discovery Center, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and exchanged views on the research environment and ongoing initiatives.
