IVReD exhibited for the second time at BioJapan / Regenerative Medicine JAPAN 2025, Asia’s largest partnering event, which was held over three days from Wednesday, October 8 to Friday, October 10, 2025.
The exhibition brought together a wide range of participants, including domestic and international companies, startups, academic institutions, and research organizations, attracting a total of 22,167 visitors over the three days.
Joint Exhibition by Five SCARDA Centers
As part of the AMED/SCARDA program, “Establishment of World-leading Research and Development Centers for Vaccine Innovation,” five universities—Hokkaido University, the University of Tokyo, Chiba University, Osaka University, and Nagasaki University—collaborated to host a joint booth. Each center presented its research outcomes, current initiatives, and future prospects.
Exhibition Highlights: Videos, Posters, and Research Materials
At the booth, the Hokkaido University IVReD Center presented a video summarizing its key research highlights. Posters and printed materials introduced the latest research achievements and ongoing initiatives. Through one-on-one meetings with industry partners, the center explored opportunities for new collaboration and potential pathways for technology seeds.
Oral Presentations Draw Strong Interest
In addition to the panel displays, the following presentations were delivered:
-
Professor Keiichi Yamamoto (Project Manager)
Overview of research and development activities at the IVReD Center -
Professor Kazuhiro Matsuo (Clinical Development Division)
Development of a novel booster vaccine for adult tuberculosis
Both talks drew large audiences each day, reflecting the high level of interest in the center’s research activities.
Fostering New Partnerships Through Active Engagement
Throughout the event, IVReD engaged in active discussions with companies and research organizations. These interactions led to the development of new relationships and productive conversations toward potential collaborative research.
As a result, BioJapan 2025 served as a valuable opportunity to broadly communicate the center’s research results, progress, and vision to a diverse audience.
Plans for Next Year: Continued Advancement of Vaccine R&D
IVReD plans to participate again in BioJapan next year. The center will continue to promote the development of vaccine seeds and strengthen collaborative research to drive further innovation.
