I am very honored to receive the prestigious Ochi Award of the Japanese Society of Veterinary Science for the year 2024-2025 for my research “Studies on pathogenicity acquisition and host range determinants of avian influenza viruses”. This research was made possible by the support of many professors and the cooperation of the graduate students in my laboratory. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of them and wish for further development of research in this field.
