Professor Juha Huiskonen of the University of Helsinki, who is also a Visiting Professor at IVReD, visited us on January 28 together with Professor Katsumi Maenaka (Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hokkaido University).

 Professor Huiskonen engaged in research presentations and discussions with Professor Hirofumi Sawa and Professor Yasuhiko Suzuki.

Professor Huiskonen is internationally recognized as a leading expert in viral structural analysis and research using cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM). They had lively discussions on the potential for future collaborative research in these fields.

We aim to strengthen partnerships with overseas universities further and accelerate vaccine research and development through enhanced international collaboration.
