IVReD held a face-to-face research presentation and exchange meeting on Monday, August 28, 2023.

The purpose of the meeting was to share research activities among researchers from inside and outside of the university and research institute who are participating in the “Japan Initiative for World-leading Vaccine Research and Development Centers” project and to further deepen exchanges among them.

Director of IVReD Hirofumi Sawa had opening remarks and an introduction of the center. We had total of 24 speakers, including 5 researchers from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases(NIID), the National Institute of Biomedical Innovation(NIBIO), the National Institute of Health and Nutrition（NIHN）, and Niigata University, 9 researchers in charge of research and development, and 10 research participants. A total of 60 people attended this presentation session, and a question-and-answer session followed each research presentation, making it a productive event.

We had reception after the meeting and that followed provided a friendly atmosphere for exchange of information among the participants.
